Who you are buying from
This site is operated by Auria Modern Amenities LLC, trading as BringBackTheiPod, at 17412 Ventura Blvd #17, Encino, CA 91316. You can reach us at support@bringbacktheipod.shop.
What we sell
We sell refurbished Apple iPods, replacement parts, and a mail-in repair service. Every iPod we sell is a used device that we have rebuilt by hand. We are not Apple, we are not an authorized Apple service provider, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc. “iPod” and “Apple” are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here only to describe what the products are.
Condition and expectations
These are vintage devices. The Mini was made in 2004 and 2005, the Classic 5th and 5.5 in 2005 and 2006, and the Classic 6th and 7th between 2007 and 2009 — so the newest thing we sell is around seventeen years old and the oldest is past twenty. We describe condition honestly and grade every housing before it goes out. Expect moderate cosmetic wear on anything sold as original. Anything we describe as new is new.
Every unit is tested end to end before it ships: click wheel, headphone jack, dock connector, hold switch, and a full charge cycle. If any one of those fails, the unit is not listed.
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and do not include sales tax or shipping, which are shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Square. We never see or store your full card number.
We try hard to keep prices and stock accurate. If something is listed at an obviously wrong price, or sells out between your order and our bench, we will contact you and either correct it with your agreement or refund you in full. We will never charge you more than the price you agreed at checkout.
Orders and cancellation
Your order is accepted when we send the confirmation email. Before that, we may decline an order — for example if we cannot verify the delivery address or the item is genuinely out of stock.
Made-to-order builds start quickly, so tell us the same day if you need to cancel and we will do what we can. Once a custom build has been assembled it falls under the custom-build terms on our Returns page.
Shipping, returns and refunds
These are set out in full on the Returns & Shipping page, which forms part of these terms.
Warranty
We stand behind our work. If something we fitted fails, tell us and we will put it right. Beyond that, the products are sold as-is: we do not promise that a twenty-year-old device will last forever, and we are not liable for loss of data, loss of use, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits any right you have under California or United States consumer law that cannot be limited.
Your music and your data
If you mail us a device, back it up first. We may need to wipe storage to complete a repair, and we cannot recover music or files for you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you place your order.
